OVERVIEW<\/b><\/h3>\n

Wide open edition of the Australasian Oaks this year, which is always open to upsets with 3-year-old fillies stepping out to 2000m, many for their first time. Affair To Remember opens favourite after an eye-catching prep but is certainly not bulletproof and will face stiff competition through a number of up and coming fillies here.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SPEED MAP<\/b><\/h3>\n

Sierra Sue draws widest but should be able to cross to the lead easily. Outside of her, there looks to be a lack of genuine speed on paper engaged. Asiago and Wings of Pastrami are most likely the next two, however, we might see a few runners take some initiative and push forward. Affair To Remember and Betcha Flying both draw midfield.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Nudge has been working through her prep very nicely without winning so far. She was particularly good two back behind Shout The Bar and Probabeel over this distance. Last start she finished 5.7L behind Colette, but was still good relative to the field. Back to 2000m here suits her better and she looks right in the mix.<\/span><\/p>\n

      On the quick backup here after scoring a solid win over 1700m last week. It was a solid win but she was perhaps aided by settling closer than normal in a race where the tempo suited on pace runners. Finds herself in the mix again here, plus she\u2019s rock hard fit and on the up.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (<\/b>$5.00<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Fourth up today after an eye-catching prep. She\u2019s hit the line strongly in all three of her starts and scored an impressive win two back. Never raced beyond 1600m but seems to have been crying out for this distance and gets her chance to shine here.<\/span><\/p>\n

        BLUEY\u2019S PICK<\/b><\/h3>\n
